About Us

Holly Kowalchuk Huseby (she/her)

I hold a master's degree and have been certified in the field of Behavior Analysis for more than 10 years.  I've helped those in ages ranging from 15 months into their 60s, working in their homes, in clinics, in the community, and in schools.  My data-based practice has made a difference in the lives of the many people who have burning and daunting questions like those you saw at the start of this site.

I founded Behavior Balance Point, LLC in 2018.  Our mission, then and now, is to share skills and knowledge of behavior analysis to meet the rapidly growing need to bring hope of a better future for the parents, caregivers, and the children who come to use for help with developmental and behavioral concerns.

Initially, Behavior Balance Point provided school-based, consultative services.  We helped school staff understand and use the tools we developed in their classrooms.  We trained school faculty on how to work with children on the autism spectrum as well as those with behavioral difficulties that varied from their peers.

We shifted to include center-based ABA services in 2022, and in 2024 we partnered with Early Intervention Colorado to provide development intervention and social emotional supports within a parent-coaching model.

It is importatnt that the services we offer are as beneficial to our clients as possible.  This means being trauma informed (so as not to cause harm despite having good intentions), focusing on skill building (with things like self-advocacy, leisure skills, etc.), gaining and maintaining assent (the children we work with need to want to work with us!), recognizing possible barriers for families so that we can see possible pitfalls of common ABA interventions, and again, collaborating.

My passion is working with children and their caregiver teams to find the best ways for everyone to gain skills, grow, and become their best selves.  It is my belief that skill building in key areas reduces the likelihood of undesirable behaviors developing or continuing.

Education:

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Colorado State University focusing on sociology (criminal justice) and foreign language and literature (Spanish) , I received a Master of Science in behavior analysis from the University of North Texas.

My core values in our practice are collaboration, transparency, compassion, and growth.
